About Jonen Freight

Jonen Freight (Pty) Ltd. is an independent South African owned company who has been on the local market since 1979. We are proud to say that we are one of the oldest and strongest of the medium sized freight forwarders left on the South African market today.

A wide variety of South African and international companies form part of our clientele.

Jonen have motivated staff, with experience of the international and local freight forwarding market. Our overseas partners are all in a position to offer our clients competitive rates and excellent service levels on all door to door shipments, whether by air or ocean freight, worldwide.

Presently, Jonen have two offices in Johannesburg, one in Cape Town and we have opened an office in Durban. We have an office at Johannesburg International Airport, where all our airfreight break bulk is handled. Our second office, which is our head office, is situated in Pomona. This office is utilized as a sales, sea and airfreight office. Exports for air and sea are handled from this office, as well as warehousing and planning of deliveries and collections. Clearing, invoicing, debtors and creditors are all handled from here.

Jonen utilize our own fleet of trucks for deliveries and collections. We also have our own warehouse of approximately 5000 square meters in Pomona for storage of parcels for export or overnight deliveries. We have all the necessary equipment including electronic scales and forklifts to assist in the loading and unloading of parcels to ensure that shipments are delivered as quickly as possible. Our warehouse has a built in safe for storage of valuable cargo.

We are in the process of organizing a bonded warehousing facility at our Pomona warehouse, which we will be able to offer to our clients soon.

Jonen are in the process of supporting our detailed services with an effective and integrated N.T. computer network system which provides facilities such as bar-coding, scanning, warehousing \ inventory - distribution processes and amongst various other functions we are able to track and trace parcels transported with us nationwide.

Jonen Freight also has an office in Cape Town. From here we are able to handle all air and sea freight imports and exports as well as clearing and delivery of cargo. Jonen Freight Cape Town has the same facilities as Jonen Freight Johannesburg, including warehousing of approximately 1000 square meters.

We have just opened an office in Durban, which will be able to offer clients all the facilities such as Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Jonen Freight prides us in specializing in a personalized service, which varies from client to client, based on their demands and requirements. All clientele enjoy prompt attention to any queries or problems they may have.

All orders placed with overseas suppliers will be tracked and followed up by our staff, and clients are given regular updates on the status of their shipments until the goods are delivered at the client's premises.
